Clive worked in central government for many years before leaving to set up Radio Verulam, the Community Radio station in St Albans in 2005. He is Founder and Director of Radio Verulam, and of RAIFA, the local town-twinning organisation which has links with Germany, France and Hungary.
Clive has lived in Radlett for over 30 years and is married to Jackie, a practice nurse working in St Albans. They have two children, one at secondary school in St Albans and one now at university.
Sara had a successful career in IT recruitment before retraining to become a teacher.
She has been teaching since 2004 and is head of the modern languages faculty in her current school. Sara has a passion for innovative curriculum design and as a key contributor to the Free School proposal, she brings a desire to challenge the status quo of an education system which she believes was designed to meet the needs of the 19th century industrial revolution.
Sara is married to Luke, a Resource Manager and lives in Hemel Hempstead with their daughter, Beatrice, and son Oscar.
Janie has 12 years’ experience in a top 4 accountancy firm. She is ACA qualified and has experience in a number of service lines including audit, transaction support and restructuring.
Janie lives in Radlett with husband Marc and their three young children.
Helen is Head of English at an inner city London boys’ school where she manages a team of nine teachers. She has extensive experience working with children from diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds and believes passionately in promoting social mobility through open access to education.
Helen and husband James moved to Radlett four years ago with the intention of putting down family roots to become part of a thriving local community. They have three young children.
