Harperbury School

We cannot yet confirm when we will be able to open the school as this will depend on the outcome of our planning application. However we hope to be able to confirm this before the end of April 2016.

Harperbury’s Admissions Policy complies with the School Admissions Code, the School Admissions Appeals Code, the Education Act 1996 and admissions law as it applies to maintained schools, academies and free schools.

We are a local school, set up specifically to serve the need of families in Radlett, Shenley, London Colney and surrounding localities – for more information, see rule 5. Preference will be given to applicants from this catchment area. Priority will be based on where pupils live rather than any entrance exams or faith or gender criteria.

Our Published Admissions Number (PAN) will be 120 places going into Year 7. The school also intends to offer 120 places in its 6th form. In addition to pupils transferring within the school, this will include places for external students, subject to availability.

We will run our own admissions system in our first year n parallel with the Hertfordshire Admissions system, but will contract the Schools Admissions Department at Hertfordshire County Council to implement our determined admission arrangements in subsequent years as part of their Common Applications Policy.
